  • We recommend to replace the regulator every two years. This is to prevent any natural wear and tear that could prevent the regulator from working properly due to weathering, seized inner mechanism, etc.
  • If you are looking for a way to fix your heater to the ground without worrying about it being permanent, a great workaround for that would be to use bungee cords to keep it strapped down. We will have a video soon on how to do this..
  • Sometimes your heater may be able to light the pilot light but not the main burner, you can try this quick fix by shaking the heater to release the tilt switch mechanism and see if it resets the hardware. If this does not work, please go to our troubleshooting page for a different method.
  • Please make sure to periodically check the electric igniter to see if the battery is still in good condition. If you are not going to be using it for a while, take out the battery so it will not corrode and ruin the battery.

  • If you convert your heater to natural gas using our natural gas conversion hose, the pressure will be lower due to the absence of a regulator. This is nothing to worry about and is completely normal due to the nature of the parts.
  • Please make sure to cover your heater when not in use. It is particularly valuable to cover the heater if it is going to be put in storage for a prolonged period of time. This will prevent any dust or debris from building up inside the pilot tube and will save you a lot of time in cleaning the heater if a problem ever arises. We highly recommend this for places that are especially sandy or dry.
  • If you are trying to clean your pilot tube, use compressed air from a machine for appropriate pressure and blow in through the pilot tube. Make sure the air blows all the way through and you can feel it through the other side. You can also use a bit of water inside the pilot tube and straighten a paperclip to poke out any hardened debris.
